Gramma’s House-Proper Flashing is Needed!

One Section of rot is repaired, however, following the outside wall uncovered more rot and a mother load of termites.

Proper building practices are important!! This wall section had a recent glass block wall installation and a 12′ sunroom addition. The installations did not subscribe to proper water repelling techniques. At the glass block corner, no flashing was used nor any other water proofing methods. At the sun room where the roof met  the home, no attention was made to insure proper roof run off. As a result, the water ran down the inside of the wall.

Needed: New pressure treated plates, joist extensions, rim joists, new sublfoor, add new bottom wall plates, new studs, sheathing, and a triple pin latch, single glass door, purchased from a local recycle store.
